Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology is a Complex Structure (SC) belonging to the Department of Diagnostic Imaging and Radiotherapy. The mission of the Structure is aimed at the diagnosis and staging of neoplastic diseases and the monitoring of therapies through the use of advanced imaging. This is also used in the field of interventional radiology to guide procedures for therapeutic purposes. The following Simple Structures (SS) are part of the SC of Radiology:

The clinical and research activity is transversal to all specialties of the Institute, with a repertoire that extends to the main investigations of Traditional Radiology (thoracic, skeletal, and gastrointestinal), Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Breast Radiology, Ultrasound, and Interventional Oncological Radiology, both vascular and extravascular. The department has various excellences in oncological radiology for both adult and pediatric patients, with a twenty-year experience in lung cancer screening using low-dose chest CT (approximately 40,000 exams).
