1994: Graduated in Medicine and Surgery with honors and a published thesis from the University of Milan.
1999: Specialized in General Surgery with a published thesis and honors from the University of Milan.
1999: Winner of the Young Researchers Award from the Italian Society of Surgical Oncology of Milan for an original publication.
August 2000 - September 2012: Hired as a permanent Medical Executive at the Colorectal Surgery Unit of the IRCCS INT Foundation in Milan, where I worked for 12 years.
2005: Winner of the annual award for the best scientific research among under 40s (Young Researchers Award) issued by the IRCCS INT Foundation in Milan.
2006-2011: Awarded four scholarships for original scientific works concerning colorectal oncologic surgery, melanoma treatment, surgery for anal melanomas, and fertility preservation after major surgery.
2000-2010: Member of the scientific committee for 4 editions of the International Symposium of Rectal Surgery and lecturer for the annual Master in Colorectal Surgery.
September 2012 - Present: Medical Executive at the Melanoma and Sarcoma Unit, IRCCS INT Milan.
Participated in three editions (2013, 2015, 2017) of the advanced ESSO course on clinical management of cutaneous melanoma and served as a speaker at numerous conferences on topics related to melanomas and other skin neoplasms.
Areas of particular interest have always been the surgical treatment of advanced melanoma and the early diagnosis of melanoma recurrences through the analysis of biomolecular markers (cell-free DNA and miRNA).
