Dott.ssa Tolomio Elena

She graduated in Medicine and Surgery in 1995 c/o the University of Milan with a thesis on amelanotic melanoma. She specialized with Honour in July 2003 in Dermatology and Venereology c/o the University of Milan with the thesis "Small melanomas: personal case histories and considerations" From 1997 to 2004 she attended the Dermatology Clinic of San Paolo Hospital first as an attending student and then as a resident physician In 2004 she began her professional collaboration activity at the Complex Structure Melanoma-Sarcoma of the Istituto dei Tumori, where she was hired since February 2016. She has participated in numerous congresses and refresher courses with particular reference to the issues concerning cutaneous neoplasms and their treatment 

Her activity is particularly dedicated to the outpatient setting in the prevention, diagnosis and surgical treatment of cutaneous oncological lesions. She performs follow-up activities of operated melanoma patients in follow-up. She also follows and manages skin manifestations occurring in melanoma patients included in experimental clinical trials of biological therapy. She has been extensively involved in the management of pediatric patients in the dedicated outpatient clinic. 

She collaborates with other specialists within the Multidisciplinary Group for the evaluation and definition of the treatment pathway of patients with cutaneous and neuroendocrine neoplasms (Merkel carcinoma).
