High school diploma (60/60) in 1980, Degree in Medicine and Surgery (110/110 laude) in 1987, Specialization in Medical Oncology (70/70) in 1991, Diploma in Traditional Chinese Acupuncture in 1992 plus 2 years of specialization, Basic Bioethics Course 1994 and specialization 1995. Two-year Master's Degree in Spirituality in Care 2019-21

Activity

Since 1987 I specialized Palliative physician and pain therapist at the SC of Palliative Care, Pain Therapy and Rehabilitation of the National Cancer Institute of Milan.

Clinical skills concern the global assistance of the cancer patient in advanced stages and of the family, with particular attention to physical, psychological, spiritual and social needs; ability to work in a team and to coordinate a multidisciplinary palliative care team. Expertise in designing and coordinating clinical trials in the field of pain therapy and palliative care. 

Research

Pharmacological research on analgesia, quality of life and in recently on existential and spiritual dimensions of the end of life in hospice.

Lecturer at the Master of Oncological Lymphology of the University of Milan dal 2002 al 2021
