Precision Medicine for Pediatric Tumors -INTperKids
Ente Finanziatore: Fondazione Bianca Garavaglia, Fondazione IRCCS Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori di Milano
Principal Investigator: Dott.ssa Casanova Michela

Struttura Principale: Pediatria (Oncologica)
INTperKids is a monocentric, prospective clinical study that provides comprehensive molecular profiling—using Whole Exome Sequencing (WES) and RNA sequencing (RNA-seq)—for pediatric, adolescent, and young adult patients with refractory or relapsed solid tumors. The goal is to identify potential molecularly targeted therapeutic options.
Based on the individual molecular profiles, patients may be offered treatment with novel drugs within the framework of academic clinical trials, such as the ESMART study, or within sponsored studies, if available. When supported by a strong biological rationale, access to innovative therapies outside of clinical trials will also be considered through approved pathways, including compassionate use. Additionally, INTperKids aims to align its experimental and analytical methodologies with those of European partner institutions, enabling data integration and comparability with other ongoing and future international research efforts.
